The Washington County Shared-Ride Taxi provides transportation door to door in Washington County and areas which include the northern portion of Menomonee Falls. Persons wishing to travel within the City of West Bend and the City of Hartford should continue to contact the Taxi Service in those areas. Specialized service is available for disabled individuals who require special door-through-door assistance. Notice must be given when making a reservation if the passenger is in a wheelchair or requires special door-through-door assistance. A one day advance reservation is requested for specialized service.

Adults are any persons age 18 to 59 years. Students are age five (5) years through high school. Elderly are those persons age 60 and over and disabled of all ages. Children age 4 and under will ride free. Children age 12 and under must be accompanied by a fare-paying adult.
Ride to and from Aurora Medical Center Hartford, Adult Day Services Hartford and Aurora clinics in Hartford and Slinger the fare is $1.00.  $3.00 is subsidized by The Medical Center Foundation, Hartford.  Ride to and from St. Joseph's Community Hospital at No Charge.  The $4.00 is subsidized by St. Joe's.

How To Make a Reservation
 

For the most efficient service, please have the following information ready before calling to reserve a taxi.     

  • The date you will need a taxi.
  • The time of day you wish to be picked up. Please advise the dispatcher if you have an appointment and the time of the appointment.
  • Your name
  • Pick-up address (you must designate which entrance if there is more than one)
  • Destination address (you must designate which drop-off entrance if there is more than one)
  • Number of passengers
  • Your phone number
  • If a wheelchair accessible van is needed. (You must provide your own wheelchair)

The Washington County Commuter Express(WCCE) provides bus transportation for Washington County residents to commute to and from the Milwaukee metropolitan area.
