How to make a shelter reservation

The Parks System begins taking shelter reservations on the first working day after January 1st for the New Year. Reservations for January through March can be made during the prior calendar year.

Prior to contacting the Planning and Parks Department office, it is suggested that you have a couple of shelters and dates in mind (in case your first choice is already booked). If you are unfamiliar with the Washington County Park System, there is more detailed information on the County Park System pages of the website describing the parks, shelters, fees and locations. Call or visit the Planning and Parks Department to reserve a shelter. Your reservation can be held for seven working days with no deposit. Within the seven days, the fees for your reservation are due at the Planning and Parks Department Office. The reservation must be paid for in full with either cash or a check (credit cards are not acceptable). Please do not make out the check prior to filling out the form in our office, as any change in information received over the telephone may change the fees for the shelter. Final reservations cannot be made on the telephone as we need to fill out a form and get an original signature.

All reservations must be made by a responsible person, eighteen (18) years or older, who is a member of the group proposing to reserve the park facilities. Washington County residents get a County Resident discount on the reservation fee.

All reservations for groups over two hundred (200) persons require approval from the Assistant Administrator for Golf and Parks.

Additional form for Glacier Hills 1 (Hall):
There are 3 specifically marked banquet tables at Glacier Hills 1 which are to be used for "hot" items. Because of this, there is an additional form that will need to be signed when filling out the reservation form.

All reservations must be made in person at the Planning & Parks Department office during regular business hours 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday 262-335-4445.
