Homestead Hollow County Park was purchased by the Washington County Park System in 1977 and officially opened in 1983.

The 105 acre park is an old farmstead, and evidence of this can be seen in its barns which have been converted and updated into reservable shelters.

Trails permit hiking and skiing through all areas of the Park. The Park contains excellent recreational opportunities including relatively level trails for hiking and cross country skiing because of the mostly flat terrain. Also available is a sledding hill, playground and ice skating pond.

The park has a restored prairie with native grasses and wildflowers that create colorful seasonal displays.

Soccer fields at the northwest part of the park are used by the Germantown Kickers soccer club for games and practices. Soccer fields are not available to the general public except for soccer only use by groups and by arrangement with the club. Park Rules and Regulations
  • No hunting or trapping
  • Parking on grass is prohibited
  • Keep pets under control and
    on a leash not to exceed 6 feet. Owners responsible for picking up all pet waste.
  • No golfing on soccer fields
  • Observe speed limit and other posted regulations
  • No overnight camping or open fires, other than those contained in grills.
