Park Shelter Information



Many Washington County park facilities may be reserved for your use. There are 21 reservable shelters, four of which are heated for winter activities.

Water is turned off in the parks from 10/15 through 5/15, except the lower level of the Glacier Hills Hall and other flush restrooms.

How To Make A Site Reservation:

Reservation should be made at least one week in advance. The Parks System will begin taking shelter reservations on the first working day after January 1st for the New Year.

Reservations for January through March can be made during the prior calendar year.

All reservations must be made by a responsible person, eighteen (18) years or older, who is a member of the group proposing to reserve the park facilities.

All reservations must be made in person at the Planning & Parks Department office during regular business hours 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday 262-335-4445.

Directions from Interstate Highway 45. Exit East on Highway 33 which is also Washington Street. Travel on Washington Street approximately 2 miles to Indiana Drive. The Public Agency Center is located on the Southeast corner of Indiana Avenue and Washington Street. Parking and entrance is located off of Washington Street.

Information Requested:

The following information will be requested when you make your facility reservation:

  • Shelter requested
  • Date requested
  • Time of arrival and departure
  • Daytime phone number and address
  • Number of people attending the function
  • Any permits or special requests

* Reservations must be made no later than one (1) week prior to the date being reserved.

Park Reservation Fees and Payment Information

* The Washington County Planning, Conservation & Parks Committee may consider an adjustment of use fees for an organized group reservation for day activities.

Cancellation

Notice of cancellation must be given to the department 30 days prior to the reservation date in order to receive a full refund minus a $40.00 paperwork fee and reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to the reservation date will receive a refund on the damage deposit and alcohol permit. The charge for the reservation and sales tax will not be refunded.

Penalties

Any person who shall violate any provision of this section may be punished by a forfeiture of not more than $250 together with the costs of prosecution, and in case of default of payment of such forfeiture and costs, by imprisonment in the County Jail for a term not exceeding thirty (30) days.

Parks close at 9:00 p.m.
