 Shop with a CopOn December 9, 2010 the Washington County Sheriff's Office will sponsor the seventh annual "Shop with a Cop" program. The event allows underprivileged children from Washington County to spend a fun filled evening with Washington County Law Enforcement Officers and volunteers. The program involves officers and volunteers from various law enforcement agencies throughout Washington County that donate their time to make the event a success. Prior to shopping, children enjoy a meal of hamburgers and hot dogs at the West Bend Moose Lodge. Each child is provided a gift card to be used to purchase Christmas gifts for their families at Wal-Mart. The gift cards are purchased through donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. After shopping, everyone returns to the Moose Lodge for snacks and fun. The children play games and win raffle prizes while volunteers wrap their gifts. Santa even stops to greet all of the children.
