Title CTH NN, CTH D & CTH DW Highway Improvement Project
Description Washington County Highway Department is seeking sealed single prime bids for Highway Improvements to CTH NN, CTH D & CTH DW. The project is expected to begin May 1, 2012, and shall be substantially completed by June 22, 2012, and shall be fully completed by July 13, 2012. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. Bid Security in the form of a certified check payable to Washington County Treasurer or a Bid Bond without condition to Washington County Treasurer in the amount of five (5) percent of the base bid shall be submitted with the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a proper contract and bond will be executed and filed within 10 days after the acceptance of the bid. If such bidder fails to execute and file such contract, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. The accepted bidder will also be required, as a condition precedent to award of contract, to furnish in the amount of 100% of the contract price, satisfactory Performance & Payment Bonds and Certificate of Insurance. All bidders must include the “Bidders Qualification Statement,” as part of their sealed response. If the Bidder Qualification Statement is missing, the bid may be rejected. Prevailing wages rates shall be in accordance with the Wisconsin Statutes and the Prevailing Wage Determination for this project. Project boring Maps are available below.
